About Me

IMG_3859.JPG

My journey into the world of Interior Design began with a love of fashion. I majored in Fashion Design from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise in Los Angeles, California. At FIDM, I inadvertently learned the building blocks for space planning, textile and color interplay, style, and function, all of which are integral aspects of exceptional interior design. Upon graduation, I went directly into retail which honed my ability to rearrange, stage, and merchandise. Additionally, I was a buyer and manager for boutique retail stores. Developing a keen eye and operating within budgets are essential to all things design, whether it be fashion or interiors.

My design path was set in motion by helping family and friends rearrange and declutter their homes. Restyling became a passion; no job too small, no problem unsolvable. I was fortunate to work for talented designers, Niki Samuel/NPI Designs and Mary Cates/Mary Cates Interiors, in every aspect of the design process. While working on various projects, I gained vast knowledge, experience, and inspiration all furthering my "hands-on education" into the interior design field.

I have said, "I am not a rule follower, but appreciate the structure." I see the entire picture with both logic and creativity, as well as recognizing practical function and flawless design. Your home is a reflection of you and should project your style in the finest way possible suited to your individual needs. "An interior is the natural progression of the soul." - Coco Channel. I couldn't have said it better myself!
